Governor Seyi Makinde has presented the 2026 Oyo State budget tagged �Budget of Economic Expansion� to the State House of Assembly. The proposed financial plan focuses on infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and economic growth.

Government officials stated that the administration aims to improve internally generated revenue while continuing major road and agricultural projects across the state. The governor also hinted at the possibility of a supplementary budget if economic targets exceed expectations during the fiscal year.

Lawmakers commended the administration for maintaining fiscal discipline and prioritising projects that directly impact residents of the state.
