Oyo Police Deploy Heavy Security for 2026 JAMB Examinations

The Oyo State Police Command has announced a comprehensive security deployment across examination centres ahead of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Authorities say the move is aimed at ensuring the safety of candidates, invigilators, and school officials during the examination period.

Police spokespersons revealed that officers have been stationed at Computer-Based Test centres throughout Ibadan and other major towns in the state. Security patrols have also been increased along highways and major transit routes to guarantee smooth movement for students.

Parents and educational stakeholders have praised the initiative, noting that heightened security will help reduce anxiety among candidates and improve the overall conduct of the examinations.
