Public school teachers in Oyo State staged a protest in Ogbomoso demanding the immediate rescue of colleagues abducted during the recent school attack in Oriire Local Government Area. The protest drew attention to growing insecurity affecting schools and learning environments.

Teachers carried placards urging the government and security agencies to act swiftly before the situation worsens. Many educators expressed fears about returning to classrooms without adequate security guarantees from authorities.

Education stakeholders have also called for stronger collaboration between communities and security agencies to improve intelligence sharing and protect schools across rural areas of the state.
